This is what you find outside at midnight when you suddenly remember you have washing that needs to come in off the line!
Something you may not know about me is that I did not have a washing line for the first 10 years of married life.. yep, I used to drape the washing on a small fold up clothes horse in my lounge room!
When we were expecting our second baby Gordon's brother and sister-in-law and their baby came to live with us for a few months while they were having a new house built, and they decided to put a clothes line in the back yard - they really didn't know how we coped without one!
Where we live now, however, we have two clothes lines - absolutely fabulous when you want to wash sheets and towels and clothes and hang them all - here is Ros and Tom hanging their washing at midnight (as you do) after I brought in the sheets.

And best thing about hanging washing at midnight - we found fabulous creatures of the night - beetles on the lime tree blossom and slugs on the path on their way to eat left over dog biscuits!
